Autism

This evening I caught a brief piece on CNN about a woman with Autism who created a video to give a perspective on her state of being. The video is about 3 minutes long and articulates her state of consciousness in a marvelous way and I really saw Buddha nature in her, probably because her state is different and so it illuminates Buddha nature a little more? I don’t know, but speculate on that. She doesn’t “think” in our language. She calls English and the use of English to communicate “our” language. She interacts with the world in a more direct way. The first scene of the video is her fingers moving in the stream of water from a tap. She says there is nothing symbolic about the water or any of it, it’s just her fingers in the water…”a direct interaction”. She connects directly with her environment and without thought, or at least the way we think about thought. But when she communicates throgh the keyboard to us, she is very articulate. A wonderful message.
